10/20/06 Show - Halloween

All songs about ghosts, ghouls, goblins, vampires, dracula, blacula, black dracula, black magic, black magic women, witches, the wolfman or wolfmen, zombies, zombie turkeys, bats, monsters that aren't alligators/crocodiles, and the day that is meant to celebrate all of these things - Halloween. Although they do celebrate zombies on Easter. Or at least, Zombie Christ. And I'm not being blasphemous here. Jesus rose from the dead 3 days after crucifixion. That makes him a zombie, brother. Sure, he didn't rum amok and try to eat everybody's brain after he rose from the dead. He probably should have though. I mean, that was pretty fucked up what people did to him. The Christians are all waiting for him to come back again but if I were them, I'd be a little worried about that. It didn't go so well for him the last time he was here. He might still be pissed. He did tell everybody to eat his body and drink his blood though. That was so cool. But does that make us vampires?

It may not be blood and you can't really drink it but if you download the mp3 of last night's show and listen to it, I'm pretty sure Jesus will be happy. I don't really have any reason to believe this but again, given what happened during his last trip to earth, downloading this mp3 certainly can't make things any worse:

Hey, thanks for the list. At the end of the year, I'm going to do a missed-themed show. As in, songs I wish I would have played for the various themes I've done all year. I think I'll probably go with Donovan for that since I've always liked that song.

Did you notice that I played both Don't Fear The Reaper and Bela Lugosi's Dead for the previous week's show? The theme for that one was death.
