8/4/06 Show - Australia, New Zealand, and You

They come from the land down under, where women grow and men plunder (huh?). All songs by bands that either came from Australia and New Zealand or bands that decided to concoct an elaborate ruse in an effort to pretend like they were from Australia and New Zealand. Why they would do that, I have no idea but if they did, I can only tip my cap to them. Got me there.

You might not think of good music when you think of Australia/New Zealand but I can assure you that Australia/New Zealand doesn't think of you either when they think of good music. Not that you don't make good music. You might. Australia/New Zealand just doesn't know you that well and maybe you don't know them that well either. In which case, I would suggest downloading this mp3 and later listening to it:

Hi Alex,

I found your show this morning after searching for a song from my childhood that a workmate reminded me of the lyrics for.
I have greatly enjoyed listening to the Aussie/NZ show but needed to make a correction and comment.
'Nips' are drink measures. I can only hope you were trying to be funny with the PC comment because it is obvious from the songs lyrics that the character is getting drunk.
Also.. Something for Kate, not Cate.

Cheers.
DROID.

Hey Droid,

Well thanks so much for listening and yeah, I wasn't serious about the meaning of "The Nips Are Getting Bigger". I didn't know what "Nips" referred to (thanks for telling me) but I assumed it was neither the racial slur nor human body part.

So what was the song from your childhood you were looking for?

Take care,

Alex
